North Carolina Opportunity Scholarships are administered by the North Carolina State Education Assistance Authority. The NCSEAA establishes their own criteria for awarding Opportunity Scholarships. Terra Ceia Christian School is not involved in determining who receives Opportunity Scholarships. However, please note that North Carolina Opportunity Scholarships will be accepted as partial payment for tuition at Terra Ceia Christian School. Parents will also be required to pay the tuition difference between the scholarship funding and the actual cost of tuition plus an enrollment fee of $300 per family. Please note that families electing to transport their children using Terra Ceia Christian School’s bus service, will be required to pay the additional bus fees. Bus fees are not covered by North Carolina Opportunity Scholarships.
The new student application opens Feburary 1, 2023; however, the priority window closes March 1, 2023. The application will remain open until August 31, 2023 for students to be considered for the full 2023-24 school year, as funds remain available.
Last year there were many more applicants than scholarships available. Accordingly, if you meet the guidelines, we would encourage you to apply for the scholarship as soon as possible. The current program can provide up to $6,492 for tuition per year.
